Consistent, Scheduled Cleaning Without the Manual Labour
PlasmaBerry's Jaladhara micro-sprinkler system delivers programmable, unattended module cleaning.
Why Automate Solar Module Cleaning?
Cleaning frequency is often limited by manpower, rooftop access and water wastage. Jaladhara provides a scheduled, human-independent alternative designed around your installation type, soiling conditions and water availability.
1.5–1.7 L
approximate water use per module per cleaning cycle
3 BAR
designed terminal pressure for each micro-sprinkler
3–900 kW
recommended rooftop system range
1.5–1.8 m
single-direction water umbrella radius
Jaladhara — PlasmaBerry's Automated Sprinkler System
Jaladhara is a programmable, water-based module cleaning system that uses specially designed G-Type micro-sprinklers to clean each solar module independently. Portrait modules typically use one sprinkler, while landscape modules use a pair for effective coverage.
Recommended Operation
For effective cleaning, plan at least one cycle per day. The controller can schedule day or week cycles and sequentially operate physical zones without routine manual intervention.
Salient Features
- uPVC Schedule-40 piping is designed for long service life in exposed outdoor conditions
- Specially designed G-Type sprinklers deliver a controlled 180° water umbrella with a 1.8 m radius for targeted module cleaning
- Each G-Type sprinkler is engineered for solar-module cleaning at 2 BAR terminal pressure with a 100 LPH discharge
- Screen filtration helps protect the fine sprinkler nozzles from dust particles
- Zone-based controller sequences large installations automatically, with multiple daily cycles available when required
- No rubbing or moving cleaning parts on the module surface, helping reduce scratch and pressure risk
- Can be planned with existing water storage or water-harvesting systems
How the Jaladhara Sprinkler System Works
Assess the Site
PlasmaBerry reviews rooftop or ground-mount geometry, soiling conditions, water availability and the number of modules before designing the system.
Build the Water Network
uPVC piping, drip laterals, filtration, storage and a correctly sized pumping unit are configured for the site’s layout and sprinkler count.
Deliver Targeted Spray
Specially designed G-Type sprinklers distribute a 180° water umbrella with a 1.8 m radius across each module at 2 BAR terminal pressure and 100 LPH discharge, using pressure and gravity rather than manual rubbing.
Run Scheduled Zones
A microprocessor controller divides larger systems into zones and fires them sequentially according to the selected cleaning schedule.
Maintain Cleaner Modules
Regular automated cycles help keep modules clear without sending cleaning teams onto steep or elevated rooftops.
Built for Reliability and Efficiency
G-Type Solar Module Sprinklers
Specially designed G-Type sprinklers deliver a 180° water umbrella with a 1.8 m radius at 2 BAR terminal pressure and 100 LPH discharge. Each module receives independent coverage, with one sprinkler for portrait modules and paired sprinklers for landscape layouts.
Filtered Water Delivery
A screen filtration unit helps prevent dust from reaching the fine micro-sprinkler nozzles.
Site-Sized Pumping
The pumping unit is designed around site demography and sprinkler count to provide the required pressure and discharge.
Programmable Controller
Set cleaning schedules by day or week, with the option to run more than one cycle in a day when conditions require it.
Water-Conscious Cleaning
The system uses approximately 1.5 to 1.7 litres of water per module per cleaning cycle, with less water wasted on the ground.
Low-Maintenance Design
With no moving cleaning parts in operation and durable plastic accessories, the system is designed for minimal routine maintenance.
Best Suited For
Rooftop Solar Systems
A practical fit for rooftop installations from approximately 3 kW to 900 kW, including bungalows, commercial buildings and factories.
Hard-to-Reach Module Rows
Helps reduce the need for people to access steep, elevated or otherwise difficult rooftop areas for routine cleaning.
Dust-Prone Environments
Designed around local soiling type and density, with regular cycles that support more consistent module cleanliness.
Anti-Dust Shield Treated Panels
Works especially effectively when modules are treated with Anti-Dust Shielding to help reduce adhesion from moist soiling and bird droppings.
